Songpier by pierlane GmbH provides artists with a unique and cross-device platform to add information, metadata and strategic tools to their digital releases.
Songpier’s launch was lauded by Eliot Van Buskirk in Wired. Artists like Marillion, Oh Land and A Genuine Freakshow successfully made use of the unique option to combine online and offline marketing to connect with fans. After partnering with The Orchard, Sony Music Entertainment Germany GmbH decided to implement Songpier for the online marketing of their roster.
The work for pierlane GmbH included the timeframe from the alpha version release of the Songpier app until its implementation at Sony Music Entertainment Germany GmbH.
Within a small team of five, I’ve been in charge of communicational tasks with artists, labels and distributors. Additionally, I managed and maintained all media channels. More tasks included quality tests and localisation.
